Maybe I jumped time...

Well, I fired the Ranger up today since I didn't drive it and went to put gas in it, it started up and ran fine.

I get home from the gas station and it was a little rough, so as usual i found myself adjusting the mixture screws on the carb, no big.

Welll I got it idling real purdy, then gassed it some and it was perfect, did it a few more time then i hear this slight pop, nothing seemed to change so i ignored it.

I gassed it again very slightly, and heard what sounds like vales rattling, only when you first rev it.

I have video I'm waiting to upload of the sound.

Now it's idling a little rough, I haven't driven it yet to see if it rattles under load.

I'm just thinking it might have jumped, I was suspicious of a stretched chain because its hard starting. even though now, as you'll see in the other video it fires right up.

As soon as they're uploaded I'll post them so you can hear it, its pretty pronounced in the videos.

Under the hood ^^

It starts quick.

I just drove it to Advance to grab some stuff, no loss of power, no miss, now it's idling fine.

I guess we'll see what happens.

I get a timing light on it and mess with ignition timing, then I'll be able to troubleshoot cam timing from there.

mines carbed too, bout once a month I have to get it up to 2000 rpm's in low gear and shut the choke then open it,that sucks all the crap from the eythonal thru the main jets, clears it up everytime.. corn fuel should be outlawed, only gives no problem if your vehicle has flex fuel
