Diesels are pretty tough, but I guess 103 PSI is it. LOL Makes it easy to get to the internals for replacement huh? Little JB weld, and its all good.

The motor was split into three different parts. I wish they had a video of it.

Mercy! I bet he'll be peeling his pants out of the seat. Jesus Christ there goes at least $30,000 down the drain. That's worse than when I blew my Eclipse motor during friday nights street fights at Bristol, TN. Mine was just missing a valve cover and a chunk of the hood and it scared the hell out of me. I can't imagine what that must've sounded like. Whew.

I've blown motors at Bristol Motor speedway before in my day, and few small blocks in the past but that is some serious carnage. King in fact.

i heard that this is why guys who drag the f250s and 350 are putting cummings in them. or is that the powerstroke that is getting replaced? the ford blocks are only good for around a hundred psi (in this case 103) but the dodges are good for 150.

mind you this info is a little older and thigs probably have been updated since then. that's friggen amazing tho. i'd definatly turn it into a coffee table or mount it on the wall.

You can still get the Cummins Turbo diesel in an F250 or F350. Cummins is independent. Ford try to buy the company in 2002 when it was mandated that an EGR Valve has to be installed. 2002 is when the emission change bombarded the entire automotive industry period.

You cannot get a Cummins in a 250 or 350, unless you do the swap yourself. Cummins has nothing to do with ford at all. Ford owns zero percent of Cummins. That is a myth that has been around a while. 03 is when the 6.0 came out, mid year, and it required an EGR system.

My info is a little out of date. But why is the Cummins logo on the F250 and F350's on the dealers lot? Could they have ordered them with that engine in them that way? and they are the cab and Chassis only too. Maybe that's got something to do with it? The power stroke I only see in dodge but have seen the Turbo Diesel in F250's and the F350's. I don't know much about the small diesels but the EGR Valve set up was Mandatory in 2002 or newer models. I was with Swift Transportation when it Flashed over my qual com. The dye they use to put in diesel red for offroad green for On road screwed up the EGR valve. Ford didn't buy them they tried and couldn't afford the price tag. Those I mentioned was past models.

Highly doubt it! anyone pushing all the way up to 103lbs of boost knows something is going to happen lol! dont small super charges push like 5 lbs? and doesn't that make a fair diff?

You got it backwards dude. Dodge has always had Cummins engines and Ford has always had Powerstroke engines. Well earlier Fords had International(I think) in them.

^^^^^^What he said, except International makes the Powerstroke, always have. Dodge has the Cummins contract through 2010. Early model 03's were 7.3's, no egr's. In April of 03, they switched to the 6.0 with an EGR. Soot is what is clogging up the EGR's, its a very common problem with the 6.0, they stick. Millions of miles have been driven on red dye without problems. EGR's on diesels are the problems.

If its a cab and chassis, its an -f-450 or 550, the 250's and 350's all come with beds. You can order an f-550 with a cummins.

Ok thanks man for clearing that up. The diesel market pretty much is just about dead considering what's been going on at the pump as of late. Like I stated before the smaller diesel engines I don't know too much about. the commercial line that you find in 18 wheelers is pretty much about all that I know about. The Cat C-18 (good luck finding one) and the Cummins ISX 575 are my too favorite diesel engines as well as the N-14 Celect Plus.
