I have all 4 cats, I just need 2 of them welded back on and then to a dual in/dual out muffler and dumped where my spare tire used to be!!

My tach was reading just fine with the 5.0 installed. Does this mean i dont need to relocate that pin in the connector? lol

Your Ranger tach is reading 33% higher than actual. Moving the ground rescales the gauge for the V8.

ok, so since florida doesnt have emmesions, then i dont have to run all the cats, does running less cats hurt performance?

In your case it probably would hurt. Only cars with high flow heads and headers would benefit having less cats and of course a tune for it. Exhaust back pressure is important to promote exhaust scavenging.

thanks wippersnapper, i wouldnt be taking them off the 4.0.. Im talking about when i do my 5.0 swap, which i plan on doing pretty much the exact same build as mudslanger(same parts), so would it hurt his performance?

Lol. I wish I had room to do that. My uncle thinks if I owned 2 vehicles that it would make our house look like a car dealership. How would 3 cars total(his and 2 if I had 2 cars) make a house look like a car dealership?

yeah the tach reads a bit higher like Bob said. It looks like it works good, till you stomp on it and you get past 6k. then you know its too high.

I have 2.5" pipe and a 40 series flowmaster. Y-pipe to single in dual out. I'm chopping it off and remaking it all from hreader back but I'm not sure what muffler I'm going to run this time. I want one of the smaller round style ones to fit up into the frame and then maybe a single side exit again or somthing.

Ill probably just keep my exisiting single in/dual out 40 series flowmaster and just Y pipe it after the 2nd set of cats. 2.5in cat back.

sounds like a plan. basically the setup I have right now. Since I chopped off the muffler back I'm a bit liuder now if you can tell by my newest vid. comparred to the dunes videos. If you want quiter but still sounds good when your on it go with the 40 and dumper it near the rear and you should be good.

Here's the location of my Fan controller AND Relay... Running a 30 amp circuit breaker, 10 gauge wire and 80Amp relay. Running the high side, ill probably hook up the 2 speed later down the road but we will see how this works first!

Dude, clean up the wiring man! At least put it in some looming. You don't want wires running all over the place, that looks unprofessional.
