My V8 Ranger Project

Ok since I'm going to be posting a lot of pics of my project, I decided to make just one thread.... So here are some pics as of now

^^I decided to install the headers on the old block to see if it hits the bellhousing, since this headers are designed for the ranger and the bellhousing for a mustang, but I got lucky :D

That's it for now. Next thing will be removing the chassis from the body to paint it.

That looks like the kinda mess I've got going on in my garage. If you need ANYTHING along the way, let me know!

Keep up the good work! Are those custom bent headers or what? I really like them over my crappy stock cast ones!

thanks!!i'll keep that in mind. The headers are from hooker so if you are going to buy them don't buy their crappy a$$ engine mount kit that they say that is it require for the headers. I bought the L&L mounts, I'll get them tomorrow andi'll see how they fit on the truck with the headers.

Those won't fit your 98+ engine bay. Not even close.

Not bein a wizazz or nothin, and not giggin ya...............

But, how bout some details on close to 15g's figure?

Just curious ...............

I've built 2 V8 Ranger's in the past 4 yrs (my Son's 93 & my 94) and don't have 6g's in both of them together, haven't slicked the bodies yet, but both drivetrains are done to include suspension mods...............

^^well everything I have is brand new, even most of the hardware(ARP). Also I bought my engine in pieces but a built 347 stroker from ford or jegs it can cost close to 9g's and that's not including the pulley set, headers and carburator or in my case the efi intake. My engine cost me 12g's but it's done.

http://www.jegs.com/webapp/wcs/store...55216_-1_10763
http://www.fordracingparts.com/parts...tKeyField=6531

also I have the transmission which is a TKO-500 with almost everything to run which cost me 3g's. I hope that answers your question.

Again this my engine

My Son is the opposite, he don't wanta take his V8 Ranger anywhere since it's not COMPLETELY DONE! I tell him, drive it & enjoy it...........it's a "work-in-progress" ...........
