Need opinions
 

Found a 2001 explorer 5.0 2wd at this local ford junkyard. Guy wants $1300 for motor, tranny, and wiring harness. $750 just for motor. Do you guys think that’s a good deal or should I hold out for something better? Should I get just the motor and maybe try to pair it with a t5 or msodr2 and make it a manual? Idk if that’s worth the effort. Tryna put it in a 2000 ranger flex fuel 2wd. This will be my first swap so I’m a little green on numbers.

Best to get everything, Hell get them to sale you the explorer...

that’s what I really want but I think it’s in decent shape so they want a lot for it.. I’m gonna try to haggle a bit
