Hey guys, new to the site here. A few years back I saw a post that a guy had where he pulled a 5.0 from a moutaineer and put it in a 98 4x4 ranger. He had step by step instructions on how to do it and it was very detailed. I've looked for that thread for a few years now and can never seem to find it. I have all the stuff I need now to do the swap ( wrecked moutaineer ) and of course my ranger with a tired 4.0. I wanna get started on this project but wanna double check to see if there's I overlooked. Thanks guys!

I FINALLY found the page I was looking for!!!! Swapping An Explorer 5.0L In To A 1998-Up Ranger
This guy goes into wiring, fuel systems, ect.!!!

 

I saved that page for future use hopefully lol

 

The guy on here named mudslanger has a great build thread for the v8 into a 98 up ranger.

 

i liked that site myself, i found it by accident, it helped me with wiring issues because the 98 ranger alternator vs mountaineer are wired a little different. i was blowing a fuse and didn't know why til i read that site.
