i am putting a 302 in my ranger,can someone please tell me if the conversion oil pan will fit the 2001 ford ranger? i have rack and pinion steering also.tia

4x4 or 4x2? If 4x2, coil spring or torsion bar? It all makes abig difference.

For the torsion bar suspension, the explorer 302 steel or aluminum pan works well. Explorer steel works on the coil spring if you raise engine a bit. Mustang double hump may work as well.

As for "conversion parts", not of the "kit" stuff works for the 98+ ranger. Best to use all explorer 302 parts.

 

it is a 2 wheel drive. if you need me too, i can post a pic of what it looks like.

 

I have a 2wd also, and am doing the swap. I was told the oil pan will convert over without trouble. I'll take some measurements shortly, and let you know.
