Icon5 Radiator size for a 302

What size is a radiator for a car/truck with a 302, i was looking at my truck and it seems like the radiator is on the small side for a v8. I compared it to my other ranger and it's only a little bit bigger. If it is too small it probably is a good idea to trade it out with a bigger radiator right?

My '88 had a radiator from L&L Products, aluminum, it fit under the support, towards the front about four inches and gave a little extra space on the front of the engine.
Never had a cooling issue and really pushed the engine sometimes.
Did run into a problem with the truck lifted and all of the air dam $hit removed; on the hy-way the temp would go up but not boil over.
I lifted the rear of the hood about 1 inch and all was good.
When I removed the air dam the air that would have moved under the truck actually stated coming up in the engine bay but only at hy-way speed. This would stop a lot air in the bay, blocking some of the air through the radiator.
Funny when the hood went up and the flow was restored all was well.
Where am I going, L&L Products had a great radiator.

Hi, hope I'm putting this in correct place. I put a 97 mountaineer 302 in my 98 and I used a rad for a ranger with a 4.0 and it cost about $125.00 I think and it works great.

I swapped a 289 into my 86 ford ranger years ago (2.3 engine). Using the serpentine belt setup and bracketry from a late model crown vic gave me enough room for an electric fan. I used a radiator out of a 4.0 liter ford explorer. Fit perfectly in the factory ranger mounts.
