Real quick question

I am looking to do the V8 swap from a 99-01 ford explorer into my 01 Ranger. The question comes in that if I want to do the Trick Flow twisted wedge top end kit and a vortech supercharger as well as pistons and rods, is the 5.0 from the explorer comparable to the 5.0 from the 86-95 mustang 5.0? I know that wiring and some small stuff are different but as far as pistons, rods and top end build kit and fitting a vortech supercharger, will that work regardless of what 5.0 i use?

im going to say not because the water pump for a mustang and water pump for the 5.0 explorer are not the same so the belt will not line up.
