In 98~2001 Ex, the PATS Module is hidden slightly forward and above the PS airbag.

there is a good chance you are going to have issues with that trans if you are still running the 99 computer. The harness is wired differently. I used to have the diagrams until my laptop died on me. I found it all on serious explorations though (I know another forum.......)

its not the computer so much has the plugs itself. If you use a 98+ harness it needs repinned for the 97 and older trans and vice versa. I run a 2000 trans with a 97 computer/harness and had serious issues till I found out the difference

When I got the transmission he give me the motor wire harness too

It rained Saturday and Sunday. Hopefully I can start on it next weekend. It has 285,000 miles on it. I may use the other motor with 80,000

everything is in the truck but I cant get it to crank I don't even hear the starter the setup I went with is the 97 explorer tran and 99 explorer motor , 97 explorer ecm

Final got it crank I put the yellow wire to the + of the battery

drove it down the road but now the transmission wont shift I heard the transmission was not getting any power. I used the 1999 motor harness I heard that was the problem. I have the 1997 harness but its missing some plugs . I need some help with putting a 1997 harness on a 1999 motor
