Very Basic Question Re Fan Rotation

Just got a composite flex blade radiator fan for my 5.0. I didn't check for rotation at purchase - its clockwise and of course I have a reverse rotation setup. I like the fan and bought it because reviews say its quiet (the metal flex fan howls). So my question is, can I simply flip the fan on the pulley? It seems like an easy solution so long as I put in a different spacer to position it in the shroud correctly. Thanks!

Never Mind!

I actually looked at the fan and its obvious that the blade curvature guarantees it will not work right if you simply flip it over. Hope they'll refund it!

You are running a mechanical fan in a 5.0l V8 Ranger swap?

'Fraid so. Bought the truck as-is. Thick aluminum radiator leaves exactly 3" between fins and the nub on the end of the water pump. Did the usual thing and got a Taurus fan - no way will it fit. Only about 3" clearance between grill and front of the radiator, so I'm thinking of maybe 2 7" pushers. I'd love to hear other success stories! Thanks!
