Here's one that has done the swap, it'll be a HUGE project, but it's possible.

been there already done it takes major modding to the floor pan for the trans. they used a shorted f-150 rearend thus the right bolt patter for the wheels they also adapted the f-150's front suspention to the ranger

Do it, or the 302, or 351 conversion. Just wondering if anyone has ever seen them Focus ZX3's with the 302?

Here's what you're facing if you try to put a modular in a Ranger. The engine on the left is a DOHC modular but even the SOHC modulars are WAY too big. The engine on the right is a pushrod 5.0L and it is a snug fit in the Ranger engine bay.

That would be bad A$$. The one at the Automotive show was done by SVT (http://www.rangerpowersports.com/fe...bolt/show.shtml). It would def. be a cool project to do. End results would be so cool. i would say go for it, but its ur money not mine.

If thats the case then what is the 4.6 engine thats in the pre 2002 New Style Explorers???
