2001 Ranger Edge Radio Harness

I've tried searching all over looking for what is the correct wiring harness to get to install an aftermarket radio in my truck.

Hopefully someone here can help me out. I don't have the tools to rip out the radio at the moment or I would of checked.

I have a 2001 Ranger Edge with the factory CD (single) radio. I assume its not premium audio cause it is not the 6-CD one?

Crutchfield, Amazon show a few different wiring harness for the truck.

Amazon - 1985-2004 Ford, Lincoln, Mercury non premium sound wiring harness Amazon - 1985-2004 Ford, Lincoln, Mercury non premium sound wiring harness

Amazon - Metra 70-1771 Radio Wiring Harness for Ford/Lincoln/Mazda 1998-Up into Car, 16 Pin Amazon - Metra 70-1771 Radio Wiring Harness for Ford/Lincoln/Mazda 1998-Up into Car, 16 Pin

Crutchfield - For select Ford, Lincoln, Mazda, Mercury, and Nissan models, 1998-up harness

Which harness do I need?

Appreciate it.

A harness made for any Ford should work. Mine is from an exploder.

I just found the box for mine. The brand is Scosche item number IDK106. It says 94-up vehicles.

There was a change from 94 to 98 IIRC.

This is current radio I have.

IMO if you're truly worried buy all three. Wolly world and all auto places should sell a universal ford connector, if it doesn't work try another. Some one might be able to look at your radio and tell, but i would just start with universal if it doesn't work run to the store for another.

I have the 2001 edge that came with the single cd player. This is the right harness:

And here is the right dash kit for installing a single din unit:
