downfire
Anyone run a downfire setup in their ex-cabs? I feel like it'd be a cleaner look but I may be wrong. I've had music in the past. Facing up, facing the front etc. Maybe 2.0 cubic feet per sub. Probably 2 12s. If so, point me in the direction of where I can order a box. The guys around my town are either extremely expensive or rig up boxes with everything they find and duct tape lol. Thoughts on downfire?

I used to have a down fire setup in mine and had the box built by a local shop. I've since designed and built my own box that faces the front because the down firing box was too large, and the amp rubbed a small hole in my Wet Okole seat covers (not the ones in the pic)
As far as sound quality is concerned, I didn't notice much difference between the 2 setups. One thing I did notice was that my subs didn't seem nearly as loud in the down firing box, but that is probably more attributed to the fact that the boxes don't use the same amounts of air volume.
My old setup:
New setup. The wires and carpet have since been cleaned up. This was when it was installed:

Yeah, they hit pretty good. I've had them for about 6 years and they hit just as hard as they did when they were new.
The best thing about the setup I have now (which is why I changed in the first place) is that now I can recline my seats all the way back. In that picture of my first setup, that's as far back as the seats would go.
