2006 radio in a 1998?

2006 factory radio in a 1998?

does anyone know if it will work? i don't know if its the same plugin or not. thanks

I think it should... I ran an '04 radio in my old '00...

in '98 they didn't have the "world plug".....in '00 the "world plug" was started.....it is a somewhat universal radio plug put in numerous Ford vehicles.....you will have to get 2 harness and splice them together.....

one harness is the harness for your truck to install an aftermarket radio.......the other is a reverse harness for a '00 or newer.......this is how i got the '07 radio to work in my truck....

maybe it was '99 the world plug started.....i know they didn't have them in '98....

jamie, best thing to do is take your radio out, look at your plug and look at the socket on the 05+ radio see if they are the same
