Stock Head Unit Swap

Hello all again another quick question.

WHat year head unit (stock) would fit into the 08 rangers i have seen that anything before an 05 wont work is that correct?

I have an '08 deck. CD player, XM ready. I only had in my truck for about 2 weeks lol, so its brand new. Is that what youre looking for?

pretty sure anything from 1998 will work maybe even earlier than that.

Do you recall why they said it wouldnt work?

i have the pioneer 6 cd changer stock unit, but the cd player doesnt work lol

Some thing about the pin connectors or something like that i dont think they would have changed those would they?

head unit

Hey, if anyone has one, i'm looking for

- a factory head unit with an aux input jack for an ipod, etc.

-willing to trade factory single disc mp3-cd player (perfect condition)

-i'm willing to pay for it.
