2001 Extended Cab System Upgrade
I am looking for a all new system for my 2001 Extended Cab 2dr. I am pretty much set going to a deck, and door speakers. But I have a problem with a sub! I do not have a lot of run because I travel with two kids (niece and nephew), and I was thinking about getting a compact powered subwoofer I was thinking about buying the Infinity Basslink. I do not know how it sounds so if anyone has herd one please feel free to help out and if there is another suggestion someone has please chime in.

I have an Alpine 9886, Sony xPlod Premier Series 6x8s, and the first gen. Infinity Basslink. My trucks sound quality is excellent and I highly recommend you doing the Infinity Basslink. If you get a new deck, get an Alpine. Mine is more expensive ($299 on Crutchfield) but it's for iPod related reasons. You can get a decent Alpine and an Infinity Basslink for under or about $400.

That is my cardomain, hope it works. Haven't updated it since April, but thats my Infinity Basslink. It works wonders, but I can't use my driver side jumpseat.

No idea if it would mount that way. I right now am at college, my dad has my truck for the next couple weeks as he's remodeling part of the house, but once I get it back I could measure and let you know. I don't know how much time you're working with here.
And yes, it hits just enough. I'm 19 and like to play it loud, but I'm not into the whole "shaking the neighborhood". It's perfect for both rap and country. I can go from Lil' Wayne to Keith Urban and just reach back and adjust the bass level enough to where no matter what you put on, the quality is awesome. I highly recommend it. If you're looking for speakers, IMO my Sony xPlod Premier Series (they are grey NOT red) are very good. Got all 4 of mine for $140.

Yeah that would be great if you could measure. I am about the same as you with music I listen to country and rap. Yeah I was looking at Infinity Kappa 5x7" components and normal Infinity 5x7's in the back. Then I wanted to get the JVC KDPdr80, it has usb and I have all my music on a thumb drive so when I am at school I can plug it into the computers there and listen. So I think that would be ideal.
How much did you buy the basslink for? I also seen something on Infinities website to use the amp to get power to the other speaks in the car. Do you use that as well or herd of it?

My brother gave it to me out of his 2001 Ext. Cab Ranger for my birthday when he sold his truck, so I don't know how much it cost him. I'll text him tomorrow and get back to you. And no, I have never heard of the "power to speakers" thing before.
