Check a local stereo shop and see if they have them, I had to ask them as they did not have them on the floor, I think mine cost $25 or $30. Otherwise maybe e-bay or Amazon.

Alpine CDA-9883 In Dash HD Radio Head Remote RUE-4202: eBay Motors (item 170529170492 end time Aug-25-10 1119 PDT)

Ebay FTW!

How confident are you in possibly opening up the face and checking to see if the **** could be replaced/repaired?

ive already opened it up, pretty easy. just a board with crap on it. i think i may have it sent into alpine and have them repair it. wouldnt think it would cost as much as getting a new face plate, its only a few spot solders and its out... then reverse the order and its in... but who know.

as for that ebay post, i found a few new ones for cheaper and the same shipping... thuoght i would ask here first if anyone could help out.

I would think its going to cost more to have it repaired after shipping, parts and labor then it would be to replace it, i remember i lost the stupid eject button on a low end pioneer i had, it was something like 30 bucks to get that tiny button to my door, i found an entirely new faceplate for 25 shipped on ebay, that alone settled it for me.
