Sirius Radio

Bought my new ranger and it came with 6 months free Sirius. The radio in the truck is pretty crappy IMO, but the channels come in pretty clear. But this Sirius radio sounds like all the channels are coming in from a tin can or a sea shell. It's WEIRD! Sometimes it takes a while to figure out what song your listening to. Is this just par for the course with Sirius or is it the el cheapo Ford radio?

I had Sirius in my truck but I don't drive it enough to make it worthwhile... mine has the factory Pioneer stereo and didn't sound like it was coming from a tin can. It wasn't the built in Sirius though.

I have it in the Mazda from the factory and use it every day... sounds great but again it has the upgraded Bose stereo.

I know a few others who have Sirius with no sound complaints at all!

I have the Sirius deal that i can take from car to home to work. I noticed that some channels are worse than others. The Classic Rewind channel tends to be more tin-can sounding than like the Alt Nation. Its mostly just the music, if its older recordings, it isn't going to get any better than how it was recorded.

I have had Sirius for years and love it. So convenient when you are traveling and the selection is great. Sound quality isn't anywhere near CD, but just as good as FM.
