amps to go with kicker sub.
in my past thread i wanted to see if anybody had good reviews with this kicker sub:
Kicker TCVT122 Sealed truck enclosure with one 12" CompVT subwoofer at Crutchfield.com now i want to put an amp on it and ive narrowed it to 3 amps: Pioneer GM-D7400M Mono subwoofer amplifier 400 watts RMS x 1 at 2 ohms at Crutchfield.com JBL GTO3501 Mono Subwoofer Amps Car Amplifiers Car Audio and Video - Sonic Electronix Boss CX1100M Mono Subwoofer Amps Car Amplifiers Car Audio and Video - Sonic Electronix and im not buying from crutchfield. im probably going to buy the one i pick, brand new, on an ebay store. thanks! |
i had that same sub and enclosure dont do it man in my opinion it sucks so i got a 12" jl audio sub and a ported truck box and wow im amazed
|
so it wasnt even good at all? whats wrong with it? whats the model # of your sub?
|
its worked for about a month and i dont listen to any rap just metal and classic rock and yeah it worked for that time period then one day a bunch of smoke came out of the sub so i took it back to cartoys and they told me theyd replace it because they have had previous complaints about it smoking. Then the second one they gave me did the same thing 2 weeks later so then they just let me upgrade to a jl audio. I found out later on that shallow mounted subs just plain suck. so the jl i have now is a full size sub and fits in a truck box no problem and sounds amazing.
