i have a 94 ranger xlt and am going to put a new deck and speakers in since the old ones blew. will this wire harness from best buy fit? also, is this whole project fairly easy?

I bought a new radio and the exact same wiring harness the other day and I've found that the wiring harness splits your interior illumination/dimmer into 3 separate wires. I also found that the radio I bought has only one wire for illumination/dimmer, so I have no dash/console lights because I have NOTHING to wire them to. Extremely frustrating.

I had a 93 ranger before i sold it off and i work at best buy currently as a car audio guy and anything the tools recommend will fit. should be two connectors for the stock harness leading off in some stripped wires for your radios half of the harness

Yea I sorted it out, I wired the positive console illumination up to the radio, and grounded the negative wire to one of the bolts in the back of the bash compartment and a couple random fuses later that didn't seem to have anything to do with dash illumination it all worked! I'm not sure if it was my wiring or the fuses but whatever, it all works now haha
