another double din install (avh-4200dvd)

another double din install (avh-4200dvd)

so i got bored and descided to upgrade my deck ive got another thread going with my system but my deck was a little old i love it but the cd player stopped working this is fine seeing as i only use sirius but anyways i ordered the pioneer avh-4200dvd and a rearview camera just now i will be uploading pics and more details as soon as i get everything installed

actually silverfox your post made me want to do it... i just hope i wont need a new sirius box i have sirius with my old pioneer deck but the box is discontinued its ip-bus but im not sure it will work i really dont want to spend another 120 bucks when i can put that towards the gps upgrade box

heres what i got it connects with a a ip-bus cable

Pioneer SIRIUS Connect Package | TSS-Radio

it uses the sirius scc1 and pioneer cd-sb10

yea im using the SIR-PNR2 right now which im gunna see if it will work i tried looking it up and got nowhere if not im going to have to end up getting that but thats definatly the cheapest ive seen it specially with the 30 dollar rebate

wtf they didnt have that when i bought mine o well still the cheapest i could find

so i got lucky and my old sirius box works but i can t get the trim ring on and even if i do the second i open the unit it will pop it off

glad the sirius worked out for ya i think tys4x4 has the 4200 maybe he can chim in with some advice

i just finished it up i just cut the sides off dremeled them down a little bit so they fit and hot glued them in then behind the unit i wrapped electrical tape around the gap at the top and bottom to blacken the area out and you cant even tell the gap is there it came out nice ill upload some photos soon

was taking with my blackberry and you can tell on the right hand side i kind f-ed it up witht he dremel lol but you cant really tell the flash just really brings it out

it was a cheap ryobi i got from local depot for like 30 or 40 bucks and just trim off the little 1/4in lip on the top and bottom its super easy
