Radio not working (no speakers)

Radio not working (no speakers)

Does any one know if the factory radio would at least power on if it didnt have speakers?

no reason it shouldnt. You can test them on a work bench with just a 12v and a ground.

so some ideas would be a fuse, loose connector, bad ground or fried radio.

Normally with ford radio's when a speaker connection comes loose from a speaker and grounds out, it cuts signal from all speakers until the short is un grounded. perhaps one of your speakers is blown to the point of shorting out or a connection is grounded.

that could be. I dont have any speakers, but I was hoping the clock function would still work. I never messed with anything besides the speakers.

thanks for the ideas. the radio worked before, no idea why it doesnt now.
