Just go fiberglass so you can use up every bit of air space.
i was able to fit two l7 10" in a ported glass box wit no problem and plenty of leg room.
here a good site to learn how to. http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/...ics.asp~FID~16
Good Luck!

well here's the deal i don't own the truck yet but soon i hope, so i don't know the space behind the seat. the truck i wont to get is only a 93 so i don't know if those box dimensions will work. your box as cut outs for all kinds of stuff behind the seat that the 93 ranger might not have.

what i wont is my box to look like this one
https://www.ranger-forums.com/forum2...ad.php?t=45503
but to go all across the cab in between the speakers. if i need more airspace it will go all the way up to the window line.
what kind of dimensions would i be looking at?

what the plan is is to have 1 10 ported ether dd9510 fi blt10 or some other high powered sub reverse mounted so that the magnet will stick out between the seats. so i need 1 cube just for the sub. but then i have to sub tracked port displacement which will be about .3-.4cubes so i need a total volume of about 1.4-1.5. just buy looking at some of the boxes im guessing i can fit 30" wide between the speakers, 7" depth on the bottom, 4" depth on top, and about 12" tall under the lip thing. thats only like .7 cubic feet i cant figure out how some of you are getting 1-1.5 cubes

Alot of people measure the outside dimensions of the box and forget to subtract the sub, and the material width. I can tell you my blueprint fits in there very nicely, but alas don't have the full width. It should be about 30 inches between the speakers as you said.
Not the exact box as in the blueprint, but pretty close.:
Now if someone can just confirm that width between speakers, you'd probably be set.
