Built a little speaker box today W/ pics

Speakers are out of a 2000 Sony house system. Speakers are almost 6" across and I used some ingenuity and an entire day and built a little box.

All MDF board and liquid nails and actual picture hanging nails are whats holding the box together. Spliced into stock wiring pigtail behind stereo and soldered it all up. Works well. Doesnt 'hit' obviously but has nice mellow lows to compliment the new 3 ways. Sounds very good. cheap and free FTW. forgot to mention it was free, given to me by neighbor.

Yeah man, was more of an expiriment than serious function, but surprised to see how well it works. Never built a box or ever really messed with aufio and came out good. Well imo

Sound is leaps and bounds better than I hoped. Like I said it doesnt hit hard due to the fact thats its on 6" speakers but it definitely makes it very hard to hear past 1/3 volume. And I really did this just to get a feel for all this audio stuff. No amp involved. just splice and ran behind radio. free & fun = enjoyable & worthwhile. and now I have an armrest WOOT

Now it is time to build a box, port it, and run the audio through an amp. Makes a world of a difference when it is actually dialed in.
