Clutch master cylinder problem?

So I just swapped a 5 speed trans from a 97 explorer into my 02 Ranger. I bought a new master cylinder, line, and slave cylinder for a 98-11 Ranger with a 4.0 5speed set up. I have my clutch bled and it feels good, but it doesn’t seem to travel back far enough to let me into gear. I can start the truck in first but it just skips and pulls forward with the clutch pedal all the way depressed. Have any of you run into this problem? Not entirely sure what I need to be looking for to make a proper diagnosis, but I imagine it’s a bad master cylinder or plunger as I didn’t buy OEM parts. I appreciate any help you can give me. My truck has been down for awhile now and I’m eager to drive it again.
