what subs do you want to run in it? 5/8s is kinda thin. i always make mine out of 3/4 or 1 inch for big subs like 15s. i recommend that you dont get the box and build one yourself. that way you can make sure that the sub and box will match eachother and not have a 2 small of a box to run 2 10s. or that the port is off.
people will tell you that an empty box is ported at 32 hertz. they cant tell you that bc it depends on what sub is in the damn box. thats why i say make your own box or have a buddy make it for you and give him a case of beer.

build a box to your sub's specs. i could never just buy a box and stick some subs in it and call it a day.

as for that box... the least i'd use was 3/4" mdf, so i wouldn't bother with it.
