im looking for 4 6x8" speakers and ive narrowed it to 3 (im not nessicarilly buying from crutchfield tho)

Kenwood KFC-C6882ie Performance Series 6" x 8" 3-way custom-fit car speakers at Crutchfield.com

Infinity Reference 6822cf 2-way car speakers For 5"x7" and 6"x8" openings at Crutchfield.com

Alpine SPS-507 Type-S 5"x7" 2-way car speakers — fits 5"x7" or 6"x8" openings at Crutchfield.com

ive actually listened to the alpines and they sound pretty good. does anyone know how the other ones will compare?

I haven't personally heard any of those speakers. I went with Boston Acoustic SL80's in mine. They fit into the factory mounts with a little trimming of the plastic without any real hassle. They Sound excellent despite being underpowered. Next step is an amp to drive them properly.

I haven't heard any of the three, that i know of. I have always had good luck with Polk Audio I run 4 Polk Audio - Mobile Monitor Series - Mobile / Marie Speakers I paid around 90 a pair the sound is amazing full volume and still crystal clear. I have a pair of Kenwood amps driving them Kenwood - KAC-7203
So no lack of power.
I am sure which ever ones you settle on they will be great just put enough power behind them and use an insulator in the doors.

Infinity Kappas. I'm not a fan of Alpine and Kenwood speakers.

X1000

I've got Kappa 6x9's behind my seats in boxes, and I'm getting Kappa 6.5" components in my doors soon, to replace my references.

So if not Kappa, do references.

x2 love mine. I can't wait to do the rears and amp them one day. I've noticed you loose bass with the new Kappa's because of the crossovers, but I think a aftermarket headunit and a amp will overcome that. I've noticed the highs are redonkulous. I didn't push in the -3db button.
