if memory is correct and im no audio expert they should wire off the door speakers

as in location i would say just where the mirrors are,if there is room behind there.
i did not pay attention when i had the door panels off

if you have open channels on your amp, i would run them off your amp(if the power ratings fall in the range of the tweeters) so that way you can set the highpass lvl to the right freq. and tune them a bit more and get a more clean sounding high.

i may be a$$ backwards, but the way i described makes sense to me..

I ran some off my front and rear speakers. I have the rear tweeters up above the top of the seat belt right by your head. I love them there, they are not over powering at all and plenty of easy places to hide the wires behind the panels.

alrighty stereo's are my thing so i will break it down for you. you want your tweeters out in front of you, i general mounts them on the A pillars NOT high tho down toward the dash, see what sounds best on axis or off axis so pointed at you or pointed toward the other A pillar, i point them toward the center of the car. the crossover is there to do just that cross the speakers to the correct levels, tweets are for the highs, mids for the mids and subs for the lows. you can put those in the doors or under the seat or up in the dash. you can run them to an amp, set the crossover on the amp to to the fullrange setting and set the crossover to play between 82hz-120 or 130hz. also dont put tweets up high behind you it raises the soundstage and pushes it way back in back of you. you want it chest level out and front of you.

so in reply to your pm. i dont feel like drawing a diagram because it is easy to explain, from the amp run the speaker wire to the crossover and hook it up to the input then from the mid output on the crossover run speaker wire from there to the mid, then do the same for the tweeter from the tweeter output. simple.

A-pillars or up by window, I DID mount mine in my 93, on the mirror areas and I had a odd problem I could easily hear my side but the pass side was quieter... most autos with tweets put the up by the front windshield I believe...
