None of them do.

sonicbluestx 04-24-2010 05:46 PM

yeah, factory head units do not have pre out. you can get some high-lo adapters and go that route if your set on using a factory radio..

Thats what my Girl had to use because the way the stupid radio is made into the dash in her escape...

Sounds pretty good but you can do more with an aftermarket radio

You guys talking about one of these? SoundGate LOC4.2 (loc42) - Line-Out Converters - Sonic Electronix

I heard the sound quality is horrible. True?

When i first got my subs they were hooked up with one of those. Not going to sound horible but your factory headunit doesnt allow you to fine tune your subs by themselves. Or if your running an external amp for your mids and highs same problem. all your factory headunit allows is Bass and Treble adjustments.

well i wouldnt say horrible, obvious difference in sound clarity yes. we just did my buddies 99 expo did all rockford components and two 8" rockford HE's used the line out converters and his is pretty clear to the mid volume point, after that starts to distort a little. but for the price and OEM look they are pretty decent.

yeah i used one of those when my other radio crapped out and i put the stocker back in, it didn't sound bad just seems sketchy.

and i bought mine for like $1.49 from a site.
