Fiberglass boxes

Anyone built speaker/sub boxes using the vacuum bag technique of fiberglassing? I.E. building a plug(undersized for the part), release agent over that, lay up the glass, bag over everything and suck it down tight, let cure?

thinking about doing it for my friend's 350z instead of building a wood box(gonna need some serious curves to make look good, which is going to be hard with wood. I'm thinking that I can melt the plug out of it through the sub holes.

I'm also thinking wood backing for the amp and wood rings for the subs, both probably 1/2" Marine plywood. Anyone see any issues here?

Just an idea....

Came out real nice, and if you are handy with the glass, should be an easy one.

I know where I'm going to build it to fit, but his box probably came out quite heavy and took a lot more prep to look good than what I'm planning will. I'm just wondering if anyone has had success or failure vacuum bagging sub boxes with uncored fiberglass
