Building a new setup
Recently I had my subs die on me as I didn't have the correct amplifier for them or have it setup correctly, my mistake. But oh well I've been wanting to redo some of the equipment that I went cheap on and what I rushed before.
Currently I have a Alpine CDA-105 headunit, 4 JBL 6X9" 3 Way rated for 300w max power, I have a JBL 4 Channel 600w amp powering those. For the subwoofers I had 2 JBL 8" 800w max power, powered by a bridged Kenwood 4 channel 640 watts max power amplifier that was given to me for free and was only suppose to be a temporary thing, but funds were tight and I never got around to replacing it with the correct setup.
I'm going to be keeping the headunit, the 6x9s and the JBL amplifier. I'm replacing the 4 channel Kenwood with a Monoblock Kenwood. It's rms power is 4 ohms: 500 watts x 1 chan, 2 ohms: 900 watts x 1 chan and 1 ohm: >900 watts x 1 chan. I ordered 100 ft of 12 gauge with 295x2 Strands and 25 ft of 8 gauge with 735x2 strands. I wanted to make sure I had enough wire this time, unlike last time I didn't have enough wire and the wires were pulled tight. All new gold plated terminals and a grounding block. I purchased 2 120mm pc fans to keep the box cool for the amplifiers and 2 relays to turn the fans on. Here in a couple of weeks I am planning on ordering 2 10" Polk Audio MM1040. From my research they should do just fine for what I want to do with them. Here's the specs on them.

Peak: 700 watts
RMS: 350 watts
Impedance: Single 4 Ohm

Carbon Composite Basket is very lightweight and will not flex during use

I got some progress done on Saturday. Got the new wiring ran and got the new vinyl floor in.
Seats and all the boxes taken out. Old wiring mess.
Parts sitting in the bed
Some old wires removed
New wire pulled through the door jam
All the wiring ran. Shitty picture
New floor in and the wires carefully pulled through some well placed holes in the floor.
Install some 1" thick foam behind where the sub boxes go as I was sick of hearing them hit the side of the body once in a while in there. Also installed it behind the plastic interior molding to stop the vibrations.

I got my system installed today. Waited all day on the UPS guy to deliver my subs. So I didn't get any good pics of the setup as it got dark. But I did get a video of the system playing a little mix song I found online to test the subs.
