Looks like pretty good stuff besides you being so close to the peak RMS power handling on the sub. It's rated at 500w max per voice coil....so yeah you're cutting it close. If it's played at loud volumes often, I wouldn't expect the subwoofer to last long.

EDIT: How do you plan on wiring the subwoofers? I see them being wired for 1-Ohm or 4-Ohms. I don't think that amplifier you picked handles 1-Ohm safely so you're looking at 4-Ohms. One way it won't function well and the other, well you'll be down a lot of power, more than you probably factored in.

1. Are you planning on doing any kind of electrical upgrades with the addition of all that equip?

2. Have you checked out the apline pdx series amps, i just love them for there size and style, tons of install options.

3. What type of enclosure are you planning to put the woofers in?

4. Are you paying the crutchfield price for that stuff?!?!?

I run 2 Alpine Rs. i would defenitly recommend in getting an amp to run at a 1 ohm load, like the sundown posted earlier. I ran 1 amp each to both my alpines. sold one and since the amp cant run at 1ohm im suck with only using 1 sub at the moment. ill be getting the sundown amp or upgrading my system to all sundown in the future.

I had about 800 rms to each of my type Rs. They took it easly and hit pretty good. not that much SLP but they have great SQ. well worth it.

The type R woofers are plenty able to create many-a dbs, and dont have a problem getting plenty loud, like with all things it depends on your application and building limitations, its more about the enclosure then the woofer itself... id go ported if you have the available space.

oh they are loud. they will rattle stuff on walls in the house if im in the drive way. my friends just tell me that they dont feel/hear the bass when they are outside the truck like my buddies Memphis 15s that have like half the rms as my alpines.

you could do so much better then that for the money.. Those amps are really terrible. I own one. Ive seen what they are made of and it aint pretty.. definitely not worth $400 for the 1000w even if you found it on ebay for $150 its really not worth it. Hell if you don't believe me ill sell you my MRP-F250 for $100 it does 50x4. seriously though, You would be better off with the top of the line Sound Ordinance amps im not joking. i can almost guarantee they are built better then the alpines. The only Alpine amps i would buy would be the PDX Class D amps. even then there is MUCH better for the money..

the sub ain't bad for the money at $99 you'll be good with that.

If you want recommendations let me know.
im getting sick sharing info to people who could care less.
