Ok. New day new problem. I keep getting this caution about my parking brake cable not being grounded when I know for a fact it is. It doesnt seem to effect any functions or anything so should I worry about the caution or just ignore it?

Does it do that when you try to play a video while moving? If so you're going to need to do a bypass.

Thats what I just did. I dont get it. It doesnt effect anything and it doesnt really bother me so I'll probably just leave it. Or I'll check my ground again tomorrow sometime and make sure it didn't slip off, even though I just checked it this morning. But it could've very well have fallen off when I slid the headunit back in. Who knows. I guess I'll find out though.

Yeah thats why its giving you that screen. Go search it on AVIC411.com for hardware bypass for the f-series. I think I posted a link to it in here actually.

Ugh... That website confuses me. I'm slow.
*EDIT* Ok I get it now. I now know why I cant mute it. I never hooked up the mute wire. Im a noob when it comes to this I guess. So I guess I need to hook up the mute wire and do the bypass and then I'll be set. Things are a lot less confusing when you turn off the TV and pay attention.

Finally got my interface cable today. I can already tell that I shouldn't have cheaped out on this cable. But it does it's job good enough. I'm still having troubles with my PB cable so it wont allow me to watch movies. At least that's what I'm assuming the reason for me not being able to watch movies is. Any other reason why it wont let me watch them?

Um I don't know, mine does. It won't let you watch them if you don't have the bypass installed.

If you can get into the settings such as subwoofer and what not and you can put a destination into the GPS while driving/sitting then the problem does not lie with the PB cable especially if you did the Bypass. Make sure you have good video files. .AVI .MP4

You can change the sound settings while driving, just not the GPS.

Well, I can watch movies now, my pb cable is nice and grounded so that warning doesn't come up anymore and all my wires are nice and soldered and heat shrinked.

It's so nice not having that stupid PB warning come up anymore. Now I just need to make it so I can watch movies while driving. Dont remember if I can do that or not. IDK I forget a lot.

Well I'll have to check out that website again. So it looks like I'll be doing the bypass this weekend.
