my mild build

so after a few days of driving my escort with the stock system, which had NO bass at all i decided to upgrade. so i put some 250w kenwood 5x7 in the deck lid and that worked a little bit better. then i got some land rover 5 1/4in door speakers from a friend and i put theose in the stock 4in holes. i managed to get the door panel back on correct after some metal bending to recess the speaker. but i realized that they suck so much. and the brand of speaker they r in harmon and kardon.

so now i want to do is get ur guys thought on whats a good 5 1/4s door speaker around $100 and some good 6x9s around the same price that have good bass untill i get my friends type r 10inch

by 300-400 watts u mean max right? not rms right? cause u dont look at max, only rms for power. the phoenix gold speakers are cheapest on ebay and the crescendo speakers are at crescendoaudio.com

ok, so dont look at max power ratings, they are useless lol. rms is what u want. for my next build i am going with the crescendo 6.5" comps but u also want 6x9s so i would highly reccomend the PG rsd 6x9s the 5x7s sound great.
