did you connect the remote wire?

there should be power, ground, remote, and audio cables.

It is usually a blue wire if you buy a amp kit. It will be right by the Ground and power on the amp and will run to a solid blue wire on your radio. It turns or amp on and off with the radio.

it comes off the back of the radio, it wont be attached to the wire harness that goes to the car it will be a separate wire. mine was blue, sometimes the radios have what each wire is on the actual wire

The radio should have a wire for remote turn on, read your owners manual.

most of the wires are labled on thise newer cd players pull the cb player out and see if the wire is their on most of the ones ive worked on the remote wire is blue with a white stripe. are you could just find a wire going to the fuse box thats hot when the switch is on that works too

i had the same problem the first time i put an amp in my truck, whenever i put somethin new in my truck i very rarely read the destructions, i just do it and it usually turns out fine but when i did an amp i did that and seen the spot on the amp for a remote wire and thought i dont want a remote for my amp lol and hooked everything else up and went to turn it on and nothin happened and noticed my amp wasnt even on so it took me a while but i figured it out without the destructions and just had the remote wire hooked up to a togle switch i had in my truck for a while and then got bored and hooked it up to my stereo in the right place
