are you saying the subs dont seat because the back of the sub hits the back of your box or are you saying you didnt make the cutout big enough for the sub to fit

if they dont seat the subs wont hit for **** .... furthermore i woulda gone with a ported to get the most out of those subs, im guessing the reason for the shallow subs is youre setting this up in a single cab?

well depending on how well your sub is it may cause the sub to overexert and burn up voicecoils, but since its a shallow mount to begin with i recon if you dont push it too hard you should be aight.

Been a long time for car audio for me but if it's a little (.2-.5cb.ft.) too small it won't make a huge difference. You may loose low end frequencies (control and SQL) and slight amount of overall power and SQ but it should work.

Again I could be wrong, I haven't looked into car audio in about 2 years.

No judging intended but for the not so good spellers you can just spell check!!!!! If the word is spelled incorrectly a little red squiggly appears under it just right click and hit what you wanted.

Just FYI
