There are tons of threads out there...use the search. First pick out a sub that has a small mounting depth or maybe a lil larger one. Depends on what you want. Then build the box around it. Reg cabs are not as restricting as it seems when it comes to audio.

I have had one 12 and it was ok. I now have two 10s and they are awesome. It all deoends on what you listen to, what you want to hear, lot of bass, not a lotta bass, lows, etc.

stick with a ten, going to a 12 starts limiting more space. i dont use those cheap branded subs that say PERFECT FOR REG CABS, because i love that deep bass and hard hits, with a smaller mounting depth sub u dont get the hard hits, its more noise. the sub i have now, diamond audio D6, is what i am building a box for and it takes up half the back of the cab. i also listen to rab, and im going ported!

what kind of music do u listen to?, start there then pick a sub that matches that, build a box, then while building it search around for an amp that matches that subs RMS. doesnt have to be perfect. my sub is 500rms but i am feeding it more then that, just make sure u know what the sub can take so it doesnt bottom out.

Yea your are qoing to want 10s for quick bass. Pretty much and 10 will do quick bass. What is your price range?

I have two 10s at 1200W a piece RMS...its sufficient.

i have a reg cab as well and that's a link to my system. i listen to a lot of hardcore and these w1's work out very well. they don't take a lot to push them but they sound real crisp and clean. they hit the lows well too but i didn't buy them for rap, more for hardcore and stuff. i would say get 2 10's. any questions feel free to ask.

ps - post up some pics of the truck, it looks pretty sweet in the avatar

Car audio can get very expensive...I should know...so you need to set how much you are willing to spend. I could tell you...as well as alot of other people...this is good that is good but they will be too high or more than you need. Since its in the air I would say W6v3, TC Sounds LMS 5600(ithink), FI, RE, I could keep listing and listing.
