pioneer deh-6700 left speaker problems?
I have a pioneer deh-6700. I have had it for 3 years . I had it installed by a very well known stereo place that wins a bunch of competitions etc . i would imagine all the connections are good and it doesn't seem like a wire cuz it doesn't change when i hit bumps etc . I do however have a few thousand miles of rough miles in 4 low i think maybe the vibration messed it up.
when i first turn the radio on the left speaker usualy doesn't work. Then if you turn it up about 3/4 of max volume, usualy at 38 it magicaly starts working . sometimes its on and it doesn't seem to be playing at full volume turning it up usualy fixes it .
First i thought it was the **** i fooled with it enough to know its not the **** .
I tried cleaning the connections on the faceplate . My old pioneer deck had problems with that connection being loose.
i'm thinking i probably have to remove the deck and have it repaired or replaced . i really don't want to do all that and find out its not the deck .
any ideas how to pinpoint the problem ?

If you only have problem with one speaker eliminate that as the problem first. Make sure the connections are all good and maybe swap that speaker with the other side and see if it does the samething-Im thinking bad connections slight possibilty speaker is bad-leaning more towards loose connection though

i pulled it out .. i had no idea it was so easy ! not like my old s-10 where the whole dash has to be taken apart .
so it was end cap connectors the kind u crimp. ... they where not looking like they where crimped very tight so i got some channel locks and crimped it real hard on all the speaker connection. i went to best buy got an adaptor to hook up the ipod fished it out by the cup holder . how easy !
i think i fixed the left speaker . So far its working good . I won't know for sure for a few days cuz it doesn't do it every time .thanks for the help guys ! i'll update next week and confirm that its fixed .
