Is there a way to plug an ipod or other type of MP3 thing into a stock stero. I am thinking about getting the Dell version of the Ipod. I have a single cd mp3 player in my truck if it matters.

i have a fm modulated 12 disk mp3 changer mounted behind the seats and its just as good as a ipod as far as playing mp3's

 

Right ! duh ! Why didn't I think of that.

I know I have seen them around but where can I get an FM modulator ?

 

Radio shack, Walmart, Target, any discount department type store really. Although you're bound to mostly find the small portable battery powered ones. If you want a decent 12VDC one then you're going to have more trouble.

Dave of Dave and Julie fame had one that he used to install a Sirius receiver in his company leased Audi. He seemed pretty happy w/ it. I can't remember the maker or where he bought it though..

 

if you have rca inputs in the back of your cd player, you can run a $3 cord from the headphone jack of the mp3 player into them... stereo and better quality than radio...

 

Stock head units have RCA inputs?! Mine didn't..
