Ok so i have that the center sub in between the two seats on an 06 FX4. This sub sucks, I ended up putting a 12inch in a sealed box, has anybody done anything good to with this space or came up with a better replacement.

 

just unplug it and do what you did.

 

maybe you could replace it with a good 6" component speaker.

 

a 6" component speaker is for midbass. you could do a 6" midbass but then that gets expensive because you need a speaker, amp, sound processing, and if you going to do that it will sound like crap with out doing an all out new stereo with 3 amps, sub, midbass, components, sound processing, head unit, 0/1 guage wiring. gets expensive quick.

 

I already have an alpine 5 channel processor with stereo sub out puts and independent 16 band eq adjust for each sub out but, with the Mc Intosh 6.5 in doors produce more then enough mid bass. I was more looking for a good either new storage solution or anything good at all. Let me know if you got any ideas
