i agree. i have the exact same setup and it sounds great. i have an old truck and if i put more power in there my truck would rattle apart. make sure you have a good head unit too.

Mine too....My back window slider rattles like crazy, I'm considering putting a non-slider in there. ALOT rattles now due to my interior being pulled apart...like where all the screws for the dash screw into, rattle, window cranks dont rattle anymore like the stock system did....bass covers the cranks rattle. GOOD TIMES.

I have a kicker l7 in my truck in a 1.25 cu. ft sealed enclosure. I sealed the **** out of it. Hooked it up to a 1200 watt ma audio amp and it sounds so clean. I love kicker subs, but i would like to get a jl amp with the same wattage. Just not looking forward to spending that amount of money.

Kinda. They used to be. Mark E. used to run Kicker stuff as well as some stuff that he designed himself and now he doesn't own the 4runner anymore it's currently located at a shop in Spain, I beleive. The 4runner now runs JBL stuff. Alma used to have 48 L7s and 48,000 Watts with The Beast. That was for SPL. The new bronco runs JBL, Panasonic, and Tsunami and is SQL now. That Bronco can be heard for miles. One of the members of Team Gates said that he could hear it in his hotel room from the acutal comp. Gary Biggs runs all JBL right now, I'm not sure if he ever had kicker stuff. Corey Himel ran JBL, but lost his van in Katrina. He was from Metaire, LA. There is a new guy with a Mustang that runs all Kicker stuff with Tsunami Wiring.

I would go JL if you have the money to spend. JL is known for it ability to put a good sub in a small box and still sound great. But like everyone says it is your own personal opinion. Good luck.

Yeah that's right I do remember reading about the Bronco in Truckin' a month or two ago. It's all JBL basically, and looks nicer than before.

I'd go with Resonant Engineering RE. Bamaboy is right, the RE subs are just unbelievable. There's nothing pretty about them, comparing them to anything else is like comparing the real thing to a toy. The magnets are huge, the xmax is huge, the power is huge, the only thing that might be bigger and better (but definitely not a better value) would be things on cardomain high end heaven. Has anyone read the info on the MTX jackhammer or w/e its called, 7,000 watts rms, and it weighs 340 lbs. I mean cmon, is this a subwoofer or an anchor off the titanic!

If you only go between kicker and JL i would go JL just because i know alot of people w/ alot of money who went JL and their systems hit very hard and very clean. However, if done right Kicker can be better SPL wise especially in a huge ported box, but aren't we talking rangers? Not exactly a ton of space.

if you are comparing the cvr to a w-0 then the cvr will handle more power thus giving more bass. if you are comparing a w-3 to a cvr then i would say the w-3 would get low and still be clean and tight. specify what jl you are talking about. i have a JL500/1 pushing a 12W6 sealed and it kicks *** and stays clean to max power, but thats more about tuning.
