Just got a price quote on an install...hows it sound?

I was thinking of that also. I think what I would do is only close off the wall facing the rear door and the wall facing into the cab...the other 2 i would leave open for ventilation. The only thing I dont kno is if this will be enough ventilation.

Ive heard that the MTX 404 amp that I have overheats easily which could be a problem

this is taking it a little far.. but maybe, when you go to build the actual flooring itself, instead of just using a normal sheet of solid mdf, maybe do many vent holes in it.. it would vent out a lot of heat, and still serve as a protective cover.. doing that, along with leaving the rear and front walls (like you mentioned) open.. that might not be too bad.

Why not just lower the seat? If you build a false floor, then you would not be able to lower the seat at all.

Right now Im ridin around with the seat down but when I need the cargo room im not gonna wanna throw stuff on top of the seat...which is why I think the floor would work
Strider: I think the holes idea may work out, I think ima experiment with it and see what happens
