Hello, I'm new here, and I just wanted to say what a great forum this is!

Down to business.
I just bought an 04 4x4 with the Tremor package (love it ) and I was wondering if someone here could tell me where I could find some production numbers.
Was the Tremor package a big seller? Or did it only sell a few? How many were made?

Also, I understand that there are three speakers in the box behind the seat, a 10in sub, and what else?

i have the tremor package...and in that box is only a sub and a amp...i took it apart there arent any speakers....and from what i hear there where only 6000 made with the tremor package...but thats the 02 they could differ from year...and my sound is screwed...........it works fine on the radio but when a cd is in it it starts cracking poping past vol.33 so i unno whats wrong with mine

 

Sounds like it has blown speakers.

 

ya thats what i was afraid of but i dont know why they work fine on the radio setting and then crappy on cd...cause i turned the bass button on earlier when a song came on and it was on the radio i turned it up to 40 and it was fine but i switched over to cd and it was cracking and popping

 

i know they started making them in 2000 and i dont think there were too many made... i dont think they are available anymore for 06

Ya, it is a big ole box in the back, but sorta makes up for it since it faces down and gives a pretty good rumble to it.

There weren't very many Tremors made, since they stopped making them in 05 and have an option to just put the system in the vehicle now instead of it just coming with the truck.

I'm looking at trading my 02 Tremor in for an 05 Tremor 4.0 4*4 that is at my dealership just around the corner from me. Love my truck though, but a very good upgrade for a great price for what they want for it.

 

what..brian...your wantin to trade the line-x machine in? i thought tremors only came in 2wd and 3.0s?

 

In 04-05 years, they came out with a 4*4 Edition of the Tremor which included the 4.0L Engine as well. I think the only down side to the 4*4 Edition is that it only has 2 doors unlike the 2wd which came with 2 or 4 door option.

Well, the only thing that are line-xed that are staying on the truck is the over-the-rail and the front bumper. I am swapin out the fender flares for the new truck and putting the ones that are on the new truck over to mine. I love the look of the flares line-xed, so those are staying with me. And the toolbox is just getting transferred over to the new truck when I get it. Other than that, I'm not losing much line-x. Basically got the front bumper done for free anyways and I will pretty much have the bed done to the truck included in the price of the new truck as well, so its all good!

 

Other downside....only comes as an automatic! Or at least that's what I've noticed and have been lead to believe. Otherwise I'd have that Pioneer headunit in my LII. OR I would have gotten the Tremor that I found when I was truck hunting. But it was also 2wd.

 

Very True! I don't believe that they made manuals for Tremors, from which I have seen quite a few of them in the years and all have been autos. So, I would much rather have an auto up here in NY with all the hills now! haha..So this isn't really a big ole deal for me!

 

I don't think the system is really worth the extra money. A better system can be put together for cheaper. Also its been said its a pain the butt to swap the system out, everything has to go, not just parts.

My 04 is 4x4, and it has 4 doors. I thought that all the Tremors came with 4x4 and 4 doors.

 

exactly, i mean come on, u get the 4 pioneer 6x9s, 10" pioneer sub, HU, and dynomat(or similar stuff)... i wasnt very impressed by my friend's Tremor. Although i will say for a stock, from the factory, system it is quite good, but for the $$ and such... yeah....

 

I'm not a stereo afficionado so I wouldn't be able to tell you what's good and what's not, and I just want something that sounds good (looking for quality, not volume). The fact that this truck came with a stereo installed and covered under a warranty is more than enough to make me happy. I think it was worth it.

 

what was the bas price for the tremors?...i got my 02 for 11490 and my system sucks..due to dumb *** friends

 

When I bought mine (2004) new the window sticker was just below $26,000. I didn't pay nearly that much for it. It is also a 4x4 with a 4.0, both of which add to the price.

It was also stated that the Tremors came with a 460 watt stereo. My brochure says it is a 550 watt system. Did that change in 2004? I know the 2004+ has a different head unit.

are the laser eyes replaceable?...cause if not im screwed due to ford being stupid and making everything unchangeable

 

I paid 16500 for mine about a month ago, it's an 04. It also has 4x4, a 4.0L, automatic, 265/75r16 mud tires, and a brushguard.

The one here is an 05 4*4 4.0 Auto with only 7K on it and goin for 17,900, prolly get them down on it..Also comes with a 5yr, 100K warranty on it as well! Only bad thing is that it is only a 2dr..I could prolly live with it, but they have an 06 in the lot for 21K(Non-Tremor) 4*4 4.0 Auto w/ 4dr, so I don't know which I would rather have now! LoL

 

Man, both of those seem like really nice trucks. This was my first Ranger, and I must say that I absolutely love it . Before you buy, get the options on the truck and look on the internet for trade in value. Once you have that price, try to talk them down below it as much as you can.

Whn I got my truck, the dealers swore up and down that they wouldn't take anything less than 17500.
