Molded ipod dock into dash?

I remember seeing a while ago a user had taken and ipod dock and molded it into the dash, I searched for a while and I cant find it again, if anyone remembers the thread please post it, any other ipod docking mods will be helpful too, for a side project I'm hoping to start soon.

Nice idea, would be good if it was a slot to push the iPod in.

Dual - ew

and It would be cool to see a factory headunit with a cassette modded to accept an ipod like a tape, like this guy did, who coincidentally lives only a few miles away from me turns out, small world.

What I want to do is actually for a tricycle I just got, I need something to keep me busy so I dont go crazy sitting at home all day, so I figured a low cost side project would be a party trike to ride around at shows and what not, but I want to shape the whole frame and mold in some lighting, speakers, police siren, ipod touch, and whatever else I feel like when it gets to that point, I just remember seeing that ipod mod here and I think it would be perfect for what I want to do, if I could just see it lol.

That's interesting but it looks like the old model of an iPod.
Great idea though.
Need something newer and smaller that can be placed almost anywhere.

That's pretty freakin sweet right there, im surprised more companies haven't already started going in the more digital media direction, for the most part no one really uses cds anymore anyway, its already all mp3 players/mobile phones/or digital streaming music anyway.

Sony’s Unit is nice but what if you have a new unit, just need a docking device ?

I couldn’t find just a docking unit.
