I know someone with 2 of em in a jeep. Hes got a 1000w legacy POS amp on em but they pound pretty hard. I have had a 10' thunder 6000 that has been good to me. Like you said it didn't break windows but in my old reg cab it was quite nice just to inprove the sound.

ok im just trying to get some stuff before i buy my truck so that im not worried about paying for the truck and dont want to spend the money

can anyone recomend an amp? im thinking of just getting a sony 222 watt one for like 50$ shipped. bridged it puts out like 200 watts rms so i figure the subs will last longer that way

I had a 12" in my first step up. It was good but you'll be bit by the bug and want more.

You generally want to stay in the upper half of the RMS range. If that subwoofer wants 400 watts, and you give it 200 watts, you're not giving it enough juice.

Get get one of the Rockford Fosgate loaded boxes. They are louder. I have two RF Punch Z's (uber cheap ones) 100rms 200max (weak power i know) in a pro bandpass box and im louder than a friend with two infinity's in sealed box and a 1000watt amp. Boxes REALLY impact the sound and tone.

i had 2 roadthunder 10's as my first set up and MAN it pounded. course i had each sub powered by its own (400w) mtx amp - i dont remember the model amp but i remember the output. so it was nice match. but after a year or so even i got a lil aggitated with the attention i got from having 2 subs behind my seats. when looking in from the outside one could see the box and well, i didnt like ppl walking by my truck and looking in. so i got rid of it and went to a single 10" stealth enclosure.
