I have a sony Xplod stereo that controls my Ipod through the headunit. I like it and it doesn't cost too much. Takes time to get use to the smaller buttons though.

I just bought this headunit today:

http://www.crutchfield.com/App/Produ...38&i=113KDC138

On sale at pep boys for 69.99 after mail in rebate, I had a similar kenwood I've been using for the last 5 years and it's been good to me, just wanted one that I could hook my ipod up to so I snagged this one. Also have pioneer 6x8 4 ways all around and a 8" kicker sub and 300 watt amp.

With my sony Xplod I also have pioneer three ways. I think the head unit is 54 watts per speaker and it has selectable sub-out. There was a noticeable increase in sound quality from the headunit alone and the different equalizers are ajustable and very responsive. I havent put a subwoofer in yet because there is enough base there already for my likeing. I leave my Ipod connected in the glovebox but what puzzles me is why you get a remote with the head unit.
