Need an Amp for speakers

I'm buyin all 4 5x7" polk/MOMO Performance speakers for my truck sometime this week or next week, have the money in my hand. I wanna amp these and give all 4 speakers full power. I dont wanna spend more than 200 on an amp, maybe 250. Whichs 4-channel amp do you suggest for around that money?

Those have the best prices. One of my friends just ordered a Power Akoustic LT980 for his two subs from the first one.

Look on the website onlinecarstereo.com, it's a good place with mid-end equipment, and good pricing with a warranty.
I like SoundStream amps, they have good specs for mids/highs.
Any of these 4-channel amps would work, the RMS for the ones under 200$ are around 60 RMS x 4 but I guarantee it's MORE than enough for your speakers, the amps are quality.

Do you really need a 4way? Why not get a two way, do you think you will need to use Fade? If not a 2way will work

ericsmith32 Jun 13, 2006 04:02 PM

Profile amps are decent. A 50x4 Profile should run you 125-150.

rolla_guy72 Jun 13, 2006 04:22 PM

sound stream is better...

nvrenufedge Jun 13, 2006 11:16 PM

JL Audio is the best, but more $$$$. BTW, you get what you pay for. remember that

haha, they are good but definitly not the best. i have some McIntosh amps that beg to differ. We are a Soundstream dealer here in town as well as Dynaudio and DD and i must say Soundstream is definitly making a comeback to where they were in the lates and early 90's. good stuff.

rolla_guy72 Jun 14, 2006 04:08 AM

Yeah, McIntosh is a lot better than anyhting JL or Kicker or JBL or Inifnity................

Soundstream is pretty damn good stuff, and I may TRY to get me a pair of those Human Riegn amps for my FX4, when i get it...

Along with some Skaaning woofers, Morel Mid, and Scanspeak Revelator Tweeters. mmmmmm.

Zapco amps rock too. Never heard them but they are expensive and have amazing specs.

fletch12518 Jun 14, 2006 06:45 AM

to be honest i would go with a 4 channel rockford fosgate amp. p4004. you can never go wrong their.

nvrenufedge Jun 15, 2006 09:29 PM

obviously you guys haven't heard about JL's Mini Cooper, it was rated best sound quality demo vehicle last year at CES. check it out on their website
