need expert advice on future system

I have a kciher comp 10 and a 464 watt JBL amp, it sounds good, jus the way i want it but im tired of not being able to use my ext. cab, I am thinking of removing the jump seats and puttin 2 8s in small boxes that slide in the place of the seats. I am looking at Punch stage 1s or mtx 4500s. the mtx is 1in samller in depth then the punch but puch handles 50 more watts. im not really going for heart stoppin bass i jus want about what the kicker does and keep it all hidden, also looking at amps and confused on something most amps i see are rated at 2 ohm and must subs at 4 ohm, how can i tell what a amp pushes on 4 ohms? and what size and what quality amp would fit what i need. Nothing to pricey as i am sellin my 3 subs and 2 amps for about $250 which is a steal but i wantsomething new

i suggest going to 2 kicker solobaric 8"s L7's for how small they are they pack a punch! tested one out in the store 2 of them would do you really good! basically if the amps says 1000 watts RMS at 2 ohms split that in half so it would be 500 watts RMS at 4 ohm..punch stage 1's aint the best seen to many die..

I agree with Blurple on the Kicker L7 8". I'm putting one in my Explorer next month. It's gonna replace the factory sub and amps. They don't need alot of airspace (0.33-0.66 sq. ft. sealed) and are only a little over 4" deep. I also recommend JL Audio's 10W1v2 10" sub. They sound incredible. The P1's aren't bad for the money, but one L7 8" will plow all over two of them. You can the sound of one 10" round out of one 8" L7.

I also agree with saving and buying a piece at a time. Don't skimp on the cheap stuff. Not saying you gotta buy top of the line, though.

As far as matching the sub to amp. You'll have to decide on the sub first so you can get an amp to run it well.

i was lookin on ebay..L7 8"s for 2 are going for like 230$ not bad at all i say..and there 900 watts max like 450 rms for an 8" subs thats amazing and there really clean need very small space to sound good..also a headunit..i suggest for a guy like you go alpine something like i have 9856-9857 either one both have all the needed RCAs and the 9857 just has a wee bit nicer display can usually pick ony up for 200$ then on to an amp..if you want them to sound good try and get an amp rated at about 900 watts rms if you can might be a lil pricy but you WONT be mad at spending the money..i swear by clarion amps all ive ever used and there loud..and there pretty nice if you can find an 05 version black and chrome..if you can get a DPX 1001.2 would be perfect..you always wanna try and meat your RMS with your subs to your amp power more power is better then underpowering..anyquestions ask..

I dont see why not? if its just RCA's then yes it will and if you dont like it then take it out..simple as that..if your looking for a 9856 i have one for sale in the classifieds..also have a 1001.2 amp for sale that would power then 8's NICELY..but the EQ will be fine..try it out you dont like it then meh..i also have a panasonic in my car..nice deck but you really dont use the EQ's that much fine one ( usually ROCK ) and its never changed..sounds good with all music
