Need speaker info on 2005 Ranger
I have a 2005 extended cab Ranger. I would like to replace the factory speakers for better sound. What size are the front and rear speakers? Are the door speakers and the rear speakers the same size? Any suggestions on other improvements? I have read here about some stuff you can get at Home Depot to use as sound insulation. Any info on that? What's it called and where do you find it?
Thanks for the info. |

Factory 5x7 but 6x8s fit in the hole. I can tell you that much. 6x8s fit perfectly in mine and the 5x7s are stuck to the floor of a 1984 F150 and actually still work great.

Some people say it's the same as Dynamat but that isn't really true. Peel N Seal is more of a foilbacked tarlike substance while Dynamat is a different, denser product that sticks better, deadens sound better and is more resistant to heat. If you're on a budget, the Peel N Seal is not a bad substitute but don't expect the same level of performance. |
